A rail journey with a Redlands finish
A train trip can turn the journey into part of your visit: arrive in the Inland Empire, connect into Redlands, then settle in before exploring downtown or heading to a campus event. Plan three pieces together—the regional train, your Arrow connection, and the ride from your chosen station to the hotel. Dynasty Suites Redlands is at 1235 W Colton Avenue. It is a separate destination from the stations, so arrange that final connection before departure, especially with luggage or an evening arrival.
Metrolink, Arrow and Metro: which service do you need?
Metrolink operates regional trains; Arrow connects San Bernardino and Redlands. For an itinerary from Los Angeles Union Station, look for the Metrolink San Bernardino Line and check the connection to Arrow at San Bernardino–Downtown. L.A. Metro is a separate local transit system that can form an earlier part of a Los Angeles journey. Use each operator’s trip planner for the complete trip and ticket requirements. The station names matter: San Bernardino Depot and San Bernardino–Downtown are different stops.
Make the connection at San Bernardino–Downtown
San Bernardino–Downtown is the connection point for the usual Metrolink-to-Arrow journey into Redlands. Metrolink lists this station at 174 South E Street, San Bernardino. Allow time to find the correct platform rather than assuming the next train leaves from the same place. Its station page lists connecting transit services and parking information, including a restriction on overnight parking. A station parking space is not an overnight parking arrangement for a hotel stay.
Choose your Redlands arrival station
Arrow serves Redlands–Esri, Redlands–Downtown and Redlands–University. Downtown can suit plans around the city center; University is useful when a campus visit is your first stop. Compare the station with your actual itinerary and arrange a taxi, rideshare, pickup or suitable local transit connection to the hotel. A station’s name does not establish walking convenience with bags. This hotel does not advertise a station shuttle. Check the current timetable for any through-service options instead of assuming every trip requires, or avoids, a transfer.
Plan the return before you buy the outward trip
A useful train itinerary includes both directions. Match your departure to the end of the event, check the final connecting service, and leave space for the ride back to the station. Buy the appropriate ticket before boarding and consult Metrolink’s current fare and service information. For mobility needs, review the operator’s station and boarding guidance alongside the hotel’s separate room-accessibility information. Keep the travel-day timetable handy; the connection map explains the connections rather than live departures.
Turn arrival day into a Redlands visit
If your schedule allows, make the first evening a simple one: check in, choose a downtown meal, and save a garden or museum visit for the next day. For a University of Redlands event, plan the rail journey around the organizer’s arrival time and arrange your hotel connection separately. Compare the hotel’s room choices and current offers for your dates. Train tickets, station transfers and attraction admission are booked separately from accommodation.
